St. Lukes in the Snow
Acrylic on canvas
15cm x 15cm x 3cm
2011
St. Luke’s was painted on a snowy day from the window, using a small, square, deep‑edged canvas — compact and easy to hold as I worked.
One of my earlier paintings, created on a peaceful winter’s day.
I sat on the steps by the window, watching as the huge snowflakes drifted softly down outside. The world felt quiet and slowed, the kind of silence that only comes with heavy snow.
It wasn’t a dramatic moment — just a calm stillness transformed by winter light.
