Tree 3 began as a doodle in the same handmade‑paper book that sparked Creative Wave.

A feminine tree in my favourite colours — blue and orange — with leaves that sit somewhere between sycamore helicopters and ginkgo fans, they float off suggesting an autumn phase and look a little like birds.

She is a tree that appears to of broken free of solid ground and floats peacefully, rooted on a water droplet that contains an ocean.

It’s an unusual painting for me, one that came straight from the subconscious.

Tree 3 doesn’t offer a fixed meaning; it’s simply an invitation for the viewer to interpret it as they feel.
